International Women's Fair - Old Spitalfields

What an amazing way to spend a Saturday!

I was proud to be part of the International Women's Fair this weekend and it didn't disappoint! This was my first visit to Old |Spitalfields as a trader and really hope to back there again soon. What lovely people and space.

My stall was right opposite the stage area which with the speakers facing right in my direction and a great big drum kit being set up i was really worried! Was this a terrible place to be - would i be heard - would people crowd out the stall - it wasn't a cheap fair to attend so i was really worried......but i needn't be!

Yes it was noisy - yep - people stood in front of the stall, blocking access and no i couldn't be heard - but this all did not matter when the band started playing the atmosphere changed into a great big party - and i got the best seat in the house!

So lots of happy friendly shoppers - lots of lovely comments and lots of sales - all while listening to the fabulous Electric Landladies......Simply Perfect!

A Crafty Weekend

Had a lovely, if slightly chilly (note to self - always pack an extra cardi in my kit!) weekend at the Cabbages and Kings Market in the lovely Abney Hall, Stoke Newington.

Met some lovely people - saw some beautiful crafts and art - so many talented people!!

Also met some lovely customers - was very happy to see some of my items go to lovely new homes.

Oh and did i mention the delish goodies from the cafe.....mmmmmmm.

So thank you Of Cabbages for a great weekend! I will be back on the 7th May

A New Week....almost a New Month!

Phew - where has this month gone?

Saying that  - where has the last year gone?

We have just celebrated our 1st Wedding anniversary and cannot believe how quick it has gone...have to admit to being a little grumpy as last year we were having an amazing time in Las Vegas with our friends and family....this year - rainy old England! Ah well - my lovely Husband surprised me with tickets to Paris in March so must not be grumpy!! 

So to celebrate the fact it is a year since our nuptials - i am being indulgent and posting my fave picture from our big day

Obviously i cannot possibly go to Paris without visiting the flea market at Porte de Clignancourt (just cannot leave business at home!!) So fingers crossed for some Parisian Vintage Designs!!

Had a lovely afternoon yesterday meeting the fabulous ladies from The Create Place - what a lovely shop!

A lovely weekend....

Well, despite the arctic temperatures, i braved the Saturday sales - and came home with a fabulous new tea set....and a vintage suitcase i never knew i needed...but i do!

Am now busy making new candles - went for a different brand of wax this time - spent more on it (i know - you get what you pay for!!!) - and it is fabulous to work with - saving me hours of re-working!

New fair booked...

Really pleased to have been selected to exhibit at the forthcoming 'Kitch and Stitch' vintage and makers fair in May 2011 - very excited as it looks like a fantastic day!
